Warrah Spring Fair Preparations Have Begun!
We are delighted to invite you to help support our Warrah Spring Fair. On Saturday the 9th of September, 2017 between 10:00 am – 3:00 pm the Warrah Society based in North West Sydney, will host its fourth annual Warrah Spring Fair. Featuring a fun filled family day of music, boutique markets, fresh biodynamic and organic produce, an organic BBQ, international food, an art exhibition, white elephant stall and heaps of fun activities in the Warrah Kids Corner, the Fair should be part of your Spring calendar! Tours of Warrah’s Biodynamic Farm run on the day.

Warrah’s Spring Fair is about our local community. Last year in 2016 we were delighted by the support we received for this event. This annual event ensures that we can continue our mission to provide engaging and responsive services that support the lives of individuals living with disabilities. In 2016, 76 volunteers, 23 boutique market stalls, 12 Warrah stalls and 5 performers and entertainment acts, were registered, to help make the day a great success. We were blown away by the support of 25 local businesses, who provided a variety of donations towards our raffle and chocolate wheel prize pool to the in-kind value of $3350. The event was attended by 780 local community members and raised just over $10,000 profit. We are hoping to top those figures in 2017 with your support. Can you help us out?

We are now collecting large and small raffle prizes, vouchers and small cash donations, which would allow us to purchase a prize to raffle. All contributors names will be mentioned and thanked in our programme and other publicity associated with the Warrah Spring Fair. Applications for Market Stalls Are Now Open.

We are delighted to invite local businesses to apply for a market stall at the Warrah Spring Fair. We are looking for a variety of market stall holders who deliver products that aligned with our unique set of values here at Warrah. We will endeavour, where possible, to limit similar producers of any particular goods to ensure that this event is a successful day for all who are involved.

Volunteer Applications Are Now Open
Our Warrah Spring Fair is currently busy recruiting volunteers to help us deliver this years event. Committee Volunteers can include staff members, client parents and friends of Warrah.

Based on previous events feedback in 2017 the Event Volunteer Roster has been designed to accommodate two shifts and to allow time for both set up and pack down. Each Warrah Stall / Station will ideally have two volunteers per shift with a 30 min hand over period. This will allow sufficient communication between volunteers, room for breaks and will enable all volunteers to have time to enjoy the Spring Fair . Each designated shift is 5 hours long and as follows: 7:30 am – 12:30 pm and 12 pm – 5 pm. 64 volunteers are needed in total. Warrah Stalls and Stations which require volunteers include: Kids Corner Activities, Warrah Special School Crafts, Multicultural Food , Chai and Cake Stall, Organic BBQ, Warrah Craft , Warrah Art Exhibition, Warrah Plants, White Elephant Stall , Second Hand Clothing, Chocolate Wheel & Raffle, Henna and Face Painting Stall, Information Tent , Farm Tour, Cleaning Crew and Parking Team.

White Elephant Stall Donations -Will Open in August 
We will be accepting all White Elephant Stall donations within the month of August. A White Elephant – or second-hand – stall consists of selling pre-loved toys, bric-a-brac and household items, and is based on the idea that one person’s trash is another’s treasure. This year we are after the following items which are both good quality and in excellent condition: Books, Wooden Toys, Bric a Brac, Small Furniture Items, Soft Furnishing and Kitchenware. Please note that we cannot accept any electrical items.

The package is for Two guests only and includes: Three nights Sunday to Wednesday, Private twin room with ensuite,All meals, drinks and snacks, Twice daily yoga, Meditation class and Daily wellness workshops, RRP $1800. Strictly only valid Sunday to Wednesday outside of school or public holidays. Not valid for upgrades. Stay must be before 31st March 2018. Date cannot be changed once booked.
